Christmas with Cuore 2026
A beautiful venue, stunning new music, and festive favourites performed by an award-winning choir. The perfect way to start your Christmas!
Cuore Chamber Choir and conductor Amy Ryan present: Christmas with Cuore 2026 in the beautiful acoustic of St. Mary’s Church, Haddington Road, Ballsbridge, Dublin 4.
Singing God in Hard Times
We were delighted to perform in a free concert with other local and visiting musicians in St. Finian’s Church, Adelaide Road, Dublin 2.
Our programme reprised Nystedt’s complete Prayers of Kierkegaard, setting texts by the eponymous Danish Lutheran philosopher, along with the Agnus Dei by our own Joost Slingerland.
Cuore also reprised In you Lord, I have taken refuge by Galen Mac Cába and Now Thank We All Our God arranged by Sigrid Anita Haugen. Both pieces were written for their child’s baptism in the same church a few months previously
This concert launched an Ecumenical and International Workshop on Contemporary Church Music, organised by The Lutheran Church in Ireland: In our troubling times, music is a powerful source of spiritual expression and nourishment.
Cuore remain very grateful to all at St. Finian’s for providing a wonderful venue for our weekly rehearsals.
In Springtime
Cuore Chamber Choir and conductor Amy Ryan proudly presented In Springtime, a special concert of reflective and uplifting contemporary choral music.
In addition to the Irish premiere of Knut Nystedt’s arrestingly beautiful Prayers of Kierkegaard, this concert included the world premiere of A Can of Lilt by Cuore alumna, Anne-Marie O’Farrell, commissioned by Cuore with funding from the Arts Council of Ireland.
We also presented a number of other concert premieres and reprised other music written for Cuore or by Cuore members, including the world premiere of Hymn to Aphrodite by Cuore alto Carmel Whelan, and the concert premiere of In you, Lord, I have taken refuge by Norway-based Irish composer, Galen Mac Cába.
